This year’s CEDIA Awards promises to be a dramatic affair, with the announcement that the 2010 event will be held at the UnderGlobe.

Located beneath the reconstructed Shakespeare’s Globe on London’s culture-rich Bankside, this stunning venue will bring an added sense of drama to what has become the high profile focus for excellence in the residential custom installation industry calendar.

Housing the world’s largest exhibition devoted to the famous playwright, the UnderGlobe is an atmospheric, purpose-built space situated directly beneath the open-air theatre. With its mezzanine level, sweeping staircase, striking pillared hall and internal Oak tree, this will be a fitting venue for the event, which will be held on Friday 16th April in celebration of the best the home automation industry has to offer. “As a showcase for the work of our members, the CEDIA Awards are unrivalled,” says Robert Hallam, CEDIA Chairman. “This impressive venue will provide an appropriate platform on which to recognise expertise and achievement from across Region 1. The Awards scheme has gained momentum and credibility with each year and the 2010 event promises to be the best yet.”

Tickets for the black tie event, which includes a sit down dinner and entertainment, are priced at £99 per person, or £895 for a table of ten, excluding VAT. The deadline for entries for the CEDIA Awards 2010 is Friday 12th February. The full list of categories is as follows:
